Tom Mahoney

Tom Mahoney – Partner / VFX Supervisor

Tom’s background in VFX and motion graphics spans two decades, from Paramount Pictures’ in-house digital unit (‘Pd2’) in the 90s, to feature work on movies such as Swordfish (2001), Final Destination 3 (2006) and The Guardian (2006.) Tom built Morgan Creek’s in-house VFX facility for the Exorcist prequels (2004), before co-founding CoSA VFX in 2009. He is currently VFX Supervisor on Gotham, a role for which he received a 2015 Emmy nomination.

Jon Tanimoto

Jon Tanimoto – Partner / VFX Supervisor

Jon started out as a compositor on high-profile features Contact (1997) and Titanic (1997), before joining pioneering digital facility PacTitle/Mirage. He spent the next decade supervising visual effects on feature films including Final Destination (2000) and Final Destination 3 (2006), as well as compositing for major studios WETA Digital and Sony Imageworks. Jon co-founded CoSA VFX in 2009, and was CoSA’s VFX Supervisor on Disney’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day. He received a 2014 Emmy Nomination as part of the VFX team for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Christopher Lance

Christopher Lance – Partner / VFX Supervisor

Christopher made his first foray into visual effects at Warner Digital in 1996, going on to work as a Lead Compositor on feature films in cities as diverse as San Francisco (ILM), London (Cinesite), Guatemala City (Studio C), Sydney (Animal Logic) and Los Angeles (CIS Hollywood.) Chris has accepted Emmy Award nominations for CoSA’s work on Revolution and Almost Human.

David Beedon

David Beedon – Partner / VFX Supervisor

David co-founded production boutique Motion City Films in 1987, providing VFX, motion graphics and production services for commercials, music and corporate videos. From 2003 onwards, he worked as a CG generalist on feature films, including The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Elektra (2005) and The Guardian (2006), before becoming a partner at CoSA VFX in 2009. In 2014 he accepted an Emmy nomination as part of the VFX team for Almost Human. More recently, David was VFX Supervisor for Amazon Studios’ pilot Hysteria and is the VFX Supervisor for Fox’s Minority Report.
