Flashback Friday: CoSA At The Emmys

Emmy Awards season is around the corner, and that has us flashing back to 2017 when the CoSA VFX team came home with two statues by night's end.

That year, members of the CoSA team were awarded by the Television Academy for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role for their work the Gotham Season 3 finale "Heavydirtysoul." Winning for the CoSA VFX team for Gotham were Tom Mahoney, Matthew Wheelon Hunt, Alex Gitler, Sina San, Michael Capton, Jon Anastasiades, Ryan Bauer, Mark Anthony J. Nazal, and Randy Little.

That was not all… CoSA was one of several houses to contribute to the Westworld Season 1 episode "The Bicameral Mind" which won for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, where Paul Grezzo represented CoSA in taking home the trophy.

Founded in 2009, CoSA VFX has grown from a small boutique into a thriving visual effects studio with offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Vancouver. The CoSA VFX team has received Emmy nominations and wins for their work on TV series including Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Almost Human, Revolution, and Gotham, and currently provides visual effects for multiple studios, networks and streaming television services.
